Jo Ann Woodsum
I am an attorney specializing in commercial real estate leasing transactions. I write romance novels under the pen name Joie Sonrisa (as yet unpublished).
I feed my avid book-reading habit by reviewing books in a variety of genres: mystery/thriller, romance, family travel stories, and memoirs with a special focus on the relationship between humans and their animal companions. As a single mother of two children adopted through the foster care system, I also read and review books about the joys and challenges of adopting and pareting special needs kids.
I love to write about San Francisco. I was a Bay Area resident for over a decade and still travel there frequently. I enjoy sharing my "insider" tips on how to get the best travel experience from this wonderful city. I also enjoy writing about Vermont, my new home state.
